Biography

Catherine's professional career has traversed more than three decades in theatre, film and television on both sides of the Tasman as an Actor, Director, Playwright and Artistic Director.

Having voiced a myriad of jobs during her career, including film and TV documentaries, she was the voice of 'Saturn' telephone company for several years.

While in her 20's, Catherine developed her acclaimed One Woman Play “The Case Of Katherine Mansfield” winning awards in Britain, NZ and Australia. She was also named in National Radio’s Millennium “Golden Kiwi” series as one of NZ’s finest theatrical talents and heralded a ‘theatre alchemist’.

From 1999-2005 she was the Artistic Director of The Court Theatre in Christchurch and from 2006 – 2008 Director of Downstage Theatre in Wellington.

She is a Member Of The NZ Order Of Merit for her services to the Arts.
