Biography
Katrina Hobbs has spent the past 25 years working as an actress, presenter & ambassador in NZ, Australia and various places throughout the world.
Appearing in her first feature film Absent Without Leave at age 17, Katrina then continued working as an actress in many different roles. Playing a psychotic killer in Cover Story to a Police officer and Doctor on Shortland Street and Home & Away respectively, she has loved played a great spectrum of characters on screen.
Katrina’s presenting work began in Australia with the Lifestyle Channel’s Out & About. Following this series Katrina hosted several lifestyle, car, travel & food shows both in Australia & NZ, also spending six months working for RT’s live news network as a Business reporter in Moscow.
Throughout her career Katrina has been sought to MC numerous events including those held by Air NZ, Telstra, Toyota NZ, NZ Breast Cancer Research Foundation & NZ Hairdressing Awards.
Her bubbly and approachable nature suits a wide variety of audiences, helping to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
More recently Katrina has widened her creative interests, building a company in textile & home ware design Hobbs & Co here in NZ. Gaining a Diploma in Interior Design in Sydney in 2015.
Katrina’s love of design, photography and fashion…along with a love for animals, cars, skiing and many other things, makes her a well-rounded and delightful host.
