Biography

Funny. Bold. Charming. Down to Earth. Sensitive.

This is Jackie.

Jackie's roots are in the deep south of New Zealand, she was born and raised on a farm, 20 minutes out of Invercargill, before moving with her family to Queenstown when she was 12. She went on to complete her Honours degree in Theatre at Otago university, before moving to Wellington and forming her own theatre company Bare Hunt Collective, which saw her successfully co-create, produce and perform in three productions, the most successful being MUNTED, which toured around New Zealand, to Mount Eden Prison, schools and to Hollywood.

As a professionally trained actress and natural performer, Jackie is incredibly comfortable in front of a crowd. She has experience as an MC, and also a marriage celebrant. Whether it be a wedding, a birthday, a work function or special event, Jackie will deliver with the right combination of confidence, charisma and fun.

Organised to a tee, Jackie takes the planning and preparation of her work very seriously.

Passionate about people, Jackie loves getting to know people. She will go out of her way to make sure you, as the client are satisfied. In terms of weddings, Jackie prides herself on getting to know each couple, uncovering their love story - delving into first dates and favourite memories. It’s with this knowledge that she can craft a unique, heartfelt and entertaining ceremony, tailored to you as a couple.

Since the wedding, we have heard nothing but positive feedback about the wedding ceremony from friends and family. Everyone we have spoke to has said it was the best wedding ceremony they have been blessed to witness. Having a young, positive, charismatic and vibrant marriage celebrant was absolutely part of our criteria - you ticked all of those boxes.
