Biography

Hi I’m Sarah – welcome to me! Professionally I’m often found as a voice or a presenter of something, what that is exactly varies constantly. You’ll hear me on ads on both TV and radio for a range of brands along with ads for multiple music artist albums and tours. I’m heavily aligned with the entertainment world – having been an expert on One News and Breakfast TVNZ 1 for all things entertainment related, for the NZ Herald and as a presenter on various radio stations. Music is absolutely my passion.

I’m also an MC – you can find me on stage working the crowd at huge events like Six60 Saturdays at Western Springs, or smaller intimate talks like the Women’s Collective Events. I’ve taken the stage and held it together at numerous festivals and events including the Marlborough Wine and Food Festival, Zoo Music at Auckland Zoo and the main stage at Rhythm and Vines in Gisborne. I’ve also MC’d a complete strangers wedding which was strangely wonderful but that’s another story for another day.

I have a history of improv comedy and I love putting my dance skills to use, most recently as a back-up dancer for Tom Sainsbury’s latest drag performance.

I’m an ambassador for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ and in 2020 partnered with them to launch the ‘Change and Check’ campaign (stickers in changing rooms showing the 9 signs of breast cancer).

Previous clients include:
Six60 Saturdays, Breast Cancer Cure, Auckland Zoo, The Women’s Collective.

Testimonials

Sarah was a fantastic MC. From the beginning when I briefed her, she was totally on board with the vision and came up with ideas to help bring it to life. MCíng a fully virtual event is no easy feat, but she did a stellar job. She brought the energy that I was so keen to create during the event and added her own flair. The engagement from our attendees was incredibly high and Sarah was a big part of that for sure. Her willingness to dance, do silly things and have fun poked at her added a light-hearted and fun element to the event, that we all needed! A big thanks to Sarah, will 100% be booking again.

Virtual Event, 2021

In 2020 we needed someone to take control of the MC’ing duties on the newly formed SIX60 Saturdays tour. No small ask standing in front of 20,000 to 50,000 people a night delivering house keeping and making the fan feel at home, and staying in control. My only option was Sarah Gandy, professional, personable and so easy to deal with. Sarah has been with us on 13 shows since we first booked her, and will continue to be the voice of the tour as long as I’m involved. It’s fair to say she's a great master of ceremonies, but she’s also part of our touring family, which in the grand scheme is what’s really important. She gets an easy 10/10 from me!

Dave Munro, Eccles Entertainment

Sarah is an incredibly talented broadcaster and that really comes through when she MCs events. At our Women’s Collective events, she was warm, professional, personable and she curated the evening so well. I highly recommend booking her for your next event!
